I agree that it should be, but I don't know if it's popular enough to be in the "indie canon". When I think of Indie Canon, I think of: Aeroplane over the Sea, Boxer, For Emma... etc. You know, albums that everybody who follows the Indie-music scene even remotely, will instantly recognize.

I don't know if this actually had a big enough impact to justify a rank among those albums. It's in my personal canon for sure.

Not gonna happen. Great album, but it's no Turn On the Bright Lights.

Agreed it's more unique and interesting than turn on the bright lights.

let's not compare anything to TOTBL ever forever. it's a weird anomaly and it makes me uncomfortable. but it is wonderful.

Well yeah the comparison to turn on the bright lights is pretty far off anyways. I like it better, but it's not even in the same ballpark style wise.

I think this is the most interesting album to come out of 2011. Heavy Pop is just perfect.

I like the instrumentals but can't get past those trendy, forced as fuck sounding 'emotional' vocals.

I just wish they would come back. Discovered some random b-side and remembered how great they were.

The whole band aside from their singer started a new band called "Los porcos". They have some pretty sweet laid retro-funk tracks on their soundcloud.

Sounds like a U2 song if they replaced Bono with they Wu Lyf guy.... which is not a bad thing...
