I only like 2 songs, Isadore and Adolescents, even though they are too pop. I find the rest completely boring and uninteresting.

Too bad. I was really hoping this would be good. I even liked Light Grenades pretty well. I'll probably still give this a listen. Good review.

Make Yourself is great. Morning View is their best in my opinion.

Even as a die-hard Incubus fan I couldn't get into this. Its not necessarily that it sounds bad, its just too dull and uninteresting. I would never find myself flipping through my iPod and think, "Yeah, I'll listen to [insert random song from "If Not Now, When?"]". I'll still cherish all of Incubus' other albums. But this one was a big disappointment.

I think I'll say once again after not saying one time one positive thing you still gave it a 2.5. Which means it's an average album. I want to neg this.

The only thing this has going for it is that it makes Light Grenades seem a lot more interesting.

This band has been pretty out-of-ideas for the best part of a decade. This is no surprise.
Also, even though I agree with this review in theory, it's not good. Using the word 'haters' in a review makes you sound like you're 13. You're not 13, are you?

Yeh Incubus really shot themself in the foot on this album. They tried to bring a maturity to their sound, but they just killed it instead. Light Grenades is brilliant compared to this..I can understand Mike was going for a minimalist approach, but he ended up sounding hesitant.
I have been a fan since back in the day, so i can still appreciate some of it. 'Switch Blade' has energy, and sounds like a hip hop direction for incubus. 'Defiance' could easily be on Morning View. Isadore is sweet too.

brandon Boyd can create some amazing lyrics, but he can also pack on the cheese factor. mm cheese im hungry
