They are all great albums. Be honest, which do you prefer more: memorable song writing/catchiness or darkness, atmosphere, and emo lyrics

Going chronologically, starting with Leave A Whisper is a good option I think.

I dig atmospheric music (that's why I'm so into BM)...

All right, thanks!

thanks napalm, even though I am certain that I have written better reviews than this

Yeah, I just saw how many reviews you've written. Still, I've always wondered what a review of a release like this would look like. To see it pulled off like this was pretty cool. Still new to this site so...I didn't quite realize you were a well-known and prolific reviewer.

Band is actually pretty good. I've heard they're good live too.

The only thing about this album that bothered me was the obvious lip syncing in many of the choruses. And I know that a lot of people get mad and say that they've been to their shows and there's no lip syncing. But I've been a fan for 5+ years, and I know Brent Smith's vocals. He is a little pitchy through the verses, then in the choruses he is spot on every time. Yet he is known to not be able to sing the high stuff like on the album. Overall though, the DVD is pretty decent. And the acoustic stuff is well done.

Haven't managed to check this out yet but a really well written piece . I love Shinedown and was really looking forward to this but it sounds like it won't be as good as hoped

I absolutely hate this band, they are the most generic hard rock band on planet earth and every one of their albums are the same with minor tweaks.

MaliceOfVirtue has a point honestly. Way overkill, but a valid point.

Well I get not liking them but my lol was at all their albums sounding the same. Their first 3 albums all sound pretty different from each other.

I completely disagree there. I think his valid point was that all their albums sound the same except with slight tweaking lol.

I love how on the acoustic album Brent talks about the meaning behind each song, and some of the stories he tells (especially for 45) are just as entertaining as the songs. The acoustic show was phenomenal.
