that's opinion and taste. If you like dirty crusty ass deathgrind, the first album can't be touched. I will agree with you that if you like polished bolt thrower, their last album is the best.

they are all great to me. Don't mind listening to any of them. In Battle There Is No Law, Realm of Chaos, and Those Once Loyal stood out the most to me, though.

all of their material is good, but those once loyal is imo the best - best riffs of their career made even better by the fact that the band was almost 20 years old when that came out

It just doesn't do anything for me.

I've been really into Old School DM lately. Music imo doesnt really get better than that

Actually listening to Morta Skuld "Dying Remains" right now

Fair enough, they're not everyone's thing. Hell, they're not even every DM fanatic's thing. But I personally don't dig OSDM as much.

"But I personally don't dig OSDM as much"

I went though so many phases these last 5 years in which I listened to hundreds of band from every category. I started with Thrash, BM, Progressive, modern DM, OSDM, post rock, electronic, Doom, Classical, and some other too. Amongst all these my fav has to be OSDM.

It has the most variation, emotion, energy, and liking according to my needs. I still juggle all these genres but I'm really into OSDM right now.

If it's not really your thing then you may be listening to the wrong bands and/or albums. But if not, then it's all good, to each his own ;]
