Hey, I like Defeater and I like more than entry level hardcore.
But this is the bomb, the vocals are kinda shit but weirdly engaging at the same time.
|
| |
so true about the vocals
|
| |
haha no, I was referring to the list mappy made under an alt (alongside a 1-star review for Beethoven) entitled "Pit" I forget what it said.
|
| |
haha had no idea that was mappy

Just listened to this. Fucking. Awesome. The one album that came to mind while listening to this (partially due to the way the album was structured) was Converge's "No Heroes".
Not gonna rate it just yet tho. Gonna need to let this soak in a bit more before rating.
|
| |
dont worry about soaking man just rate it
|
| |
didnt think about it until now but this album is almost as good as defeater
|
| |
i can even hear some defeater influence at tiems

Currently listening to it. I'm liking what I'm hearing so far, but I'll wait til after a few spins for a proper rating. Reminds me almost of early ETID, at least in vocal style, I guess.
Actually, I take that back. It's more... I'm not sure. But I like it.
Also, Plastic Tombs is fucking killer track.
Funerary reminds me of Converge's "Phoenix in Flight", in the best way possible.

"the vocals are kinda shit but weirdly engaging at the same time."
he like the possessed version of the dude from Snapcase!
|
| |
pretty much rules face, I admit I like the first half better
|
| |
me too. if the second half grows on me a little it'll be an easy 4.
|
| |
same... first half rules so hard though, think I like this better than new Weekend Nachos but that might be a dumb comparison

better than comparing it to departures lol

I keep hearing about this 'weekend nachos' but I know nothing about them. Worth checking out?
And...I think the two halves are great (and sometimes not so great) in their own distinctive ways. At Peace is fucking gold though.
