i stood upclose at a floor show with the band right next to me and the singer practically shouting this whole album in my face. was pretty sweet. can't wait for sunbather.

and it's in my hearty opinion that this album is meandering, sugar-coated bullshit that can't decide on a tone
at least the new track is straight forward and direct with what it wants to achieve and it works

i don't at all buy the argument that this album has no focus. it wanders somewhat but only because the band is so careful to move between sounds over the course of minutes rather than seconds. the entire album is definitely uniform in tone despite changes in style. if anything, i would fault them for not taking enough chances, since i think the demo was definitely more adventurous.
but from the sound of the new track, they have really focused more on a straight up screamo/bm sound for sunbather than on this one, which is heavy on the post-rock sound. let's just hope the whole thing is as good as that single.
