Scurrilous is the soundtrack to a wild roller coaster ride with a lot of variation, mind blowing melodic power, personal lyrics and fantastic musical arrangements that will leave you dazzled for a very long time to come.

THIS is why I wanted you to review Scurrilous, my thoughts exactly. Have your pos; great review, man!

Good review. I'm gonna go with my instincts and not check this out. The few tracks I've heard from this band haven't impressed me at all so I'm just gonna steer clear of this.

This probably isn't your style... but I'd say you should check this out. PTH to me is a grower and this album seems to be their most accessible.

Haha thanks Baphomet! I wanted to add something about Rody's amazing vocals but the sentence seemed too long already ;). Much appreciated!

now THIS seems less biased than the other one I read. i enjoyed this

Thanks

I personally didnt find Carlsons drumming disappointing. Yes it seems he sometimes has to keep up with the band, there werent AS MANY interesting snazzzy beats as on Fortress and i WAS looking for more steady 4/4 bits from him, like the epic ending of palms Read or you know, the other 9 epic endings on fortress lol

but

i guess after saying alll that it kinda seems like I was disappointed.

lol

Haha thanks, it just seemed like there were a lot of opportunities where he could have filled in a more active role, on a lot of songs he is just... there.

Album was great, but a minor let down. Its the curse of putting out godly albums such as kezia and fortress

Kezia and Fortress were amazing albums but they were not perfect. They left a lot of room for experimentation, which turned into this album.

"speakers of my laptop and I still have no idea why"
Pointing out the obvious.

Also, this album is in no way better than Kezia or Fortress.
