Zak, you're wrong man. This has an astounding level of restraint and nuance. The songwriting on this is simply impeccable.

this time we are GONE

Pretty surprised this isn't on Spotify tbh. I find 95% of the stuff I search for on there.

That's the only way for me to get music atm. My computer crashed at the end of last year and I lost all the music I had.

Spotify just sounds like a horribly overcomplicated and cumbersome way to get music

Especially since the money you put in it isn't going to the artist and you're probably harming them more than helping them in the long run by supporting a format like that

"Spotify just sounds like a horribly overcomplicated and cumbersome way to get music"

depends on the artist and album, sometimes it really quite simple but other times its a bit of a an effort

And yeah spotify is awful in terms of artist support which is why i buy cds and records still. Spotifys mainly useful for checking out music and keeping track of things you want to listen to

i use spotify pretty often, but ads just aren't worth it for certain albums. plus sponsored music is just weird

sponsored music? i pay premium for 5 quid a month (pretty damn cheap and affordable for a student like me) so i dont get that i think. Is that when the ad is pushing a single or record on you?

A lot of really great stuff isn't on spotify yet. I'm not sure if it's because it is relatively unknown, or politics with record label, or both. But I made a huge post rock playlist that is missing essentials like Yndi Halda. Other stuff I wanted to listen to isn't on there either, or albums are missing; like WITTR (though Idk why I'm surprised by that)

Overall useful, I still buy albums I like to support artists

I sort of wish the rating scale was in 1-10 instead of 1-5. Because when you think of something as 7/10 instead of 3.5/5, it sounds slightly more appealing imo. But I do the same thing lol
