starting to dig into this band more on a real ken mode kick

I'm sure this has been beaten to death in the previous 5 pages of comments, but after finally listening to this, it's not metalcore. It's not even really close at all. I mean if it was metalcore, it would still be good, but get the genre labeling right...

It's metalcore with noise rock influence. Very simply to understand and if you would like, I can prove it to you:



Ummm last time I checked, this had massive breakdowns, huge metallic hooks, and godforsaken hardcore mixed together with a dash of noise rock.



Listen again. It's like there's a stigma attached to the genre and it's blocking peoples receptors in the brain that link metalcore to "can be great sometimes".

So is this a good place to start with these guys, or should I listen to the new one?

this band sounds interesting, but im just so iffy on modern metalcore.

Do you like Converge cuz they have that frantic-ness to them.

Converge was my favourite band for years. that coupled with the comparisons to Deadguy and Unsane have convinced me that this is worth a check.

This band is so damn consistent. Reprisal and Mennonite are tied for my favourites atm.
