i know, i'm just some rambling dude who's new, but i think your neg reviews are some of the best on the site, and i would love it if you flushed this one out a tiny bit more.

at this point, you're a better reviewer than me (yea, i was a random 4.5 that got easily bested by a new user who's obsessed with star wars), so seriously, well done.

Thanks for the reply, dude. Apologies for misreading the tone of your comment. I actually felt that the review wasn't up to scratch when I put it up, but then it got such a good reaction I lost the motivation to edit. I'll think on your points and see if I can flesh it out a bit more.

I can see how people wouldn't like this, even people who like radiohead. It's clearly made for the hardcore fans. (Radiohead has always said bands making music for themselves is total and complete pretentious bs). But I like this more than OKC it's so organic and warm yet still "Radiohead"

Seems odd that I hear almost the exact opposite. It comes off as mechanical for the most part.

I mean it's still Radiohead it's not happy go lucky but I feel this has a change in tone, which has remained constant since pablo honey. I'm 100% sure that if they wanted to give up the ghost could have been this anthem, hitting #1 on the charts. But they chose to make it more intimate and reserved (that cover could be fucking awesome though).
But on the most basic level the acoustic guitar gets used for the first time in forever. Whole thing just feels human

Not sure what the "polite and clinical exercise" is that the reviewer is referring to; the album, or the review itself...
