I can definitely see the Kirk Hammett influence on this cd. Bonded By Blood sounds almost exactly the same as Kill 'Em All. I sorta like this album, although I get a good chuckle at song titles like "Metal Command" and "Deliver Us To Evil." They're so hilariously over the top and fitting for the music that I can't help but like it a bit. Am I the only one who find the occasional shouted hardcore punk-style vocals extremely over-the-top? Same goes for lyrics like:
"metal takes hold death starts to unfold
it's loud like the worlds at an end
your in a blood fury the metal won't stop
onlookers they bang at command
cutting your palm and drinking your blood
the power that few others dare
you feed the need to go out and kill
the same need that your blood brother shares"

Weak album, however recent works by "Exodus" are excellent.

Bonded by Blood > Everything Metallica has done.
"Get in our way and we're going to take your life! Kick in your face and rape and murder your wife!"

The reason BbB sounds like Kill 'em All is because they are both Thrash records with poor production. And they both kick ass.

Dave Mustaine wrote almost all the lead riffs on Kill 'em All,he was kicked just before recording and Kirk was brought in to replace him. This Message Edited On 11.02.08

Sounds like Metallica and i like it.

Not really, its a poorly produced Thrash debut in a similar fashion to Kill 'Em All by Metallica, or even Killing is My Business...And Business is Good! by Megadeth, but that's really where I would draw the line. Exodus are a band all their own.

love this album a true classic, i disagree with the people who say it sounds like kill em all exodus have their own sound and apparently kirk really didnt write much on the album, it's mostly gary

... and better than some long thrash songs I could list (Master of Puppets) (Disposable Heroes) (...And Justice for All).
Better than Master of Puppets? Blasphemy. Good review though. I gotta find this CD.

My vote for most classic thrash album outside the Big Four. If you like Kill 'Em All, you gotta like Bonded by Blood.
This band had a very promising start, but for whatever reasons they couldn't capitalise or follow up in time. Possibly if not for one or two missteps, we could of had a Big Five.
