Does this have anything to do with Orson Scott Card's Speaker For the Dead? Cause that might make me at least not dismiss this outright.

andcas-
it's definitely an okay review. wish you would have talked about some positives though because it's a step up from
felony and especially the respect issue. and I cringe every time I hear Drug Dealer Friend hahaha. Being a drummer I
kind of disagree with what you said about Kaabe, his cymbal usage is great even though you are right, most of the time
he just sticks to crash/kick/snare. You also didn't even mention "Last Words To Rose" or "A Voice From Below" which
are honestly above average tracks for any band, not just Emmure. all of this IMO. pos'd though.

Sigh, to be honest with you, the review is still quite bad.

The bro consensus that might have been scared Emmure would progress need not fret about Speaker Of The Dead’s minimal tweaking. The remainder of the masses wish the notion would be drilled into the quintets skull that they’re not a part of the elite “don’t fix what isn’t broken" club. It’s painfully clear the absence in growth is to keep the ninja sheep content that blindly think brutality somehow suffices as a supplement for substance. It certainly takes no Nostradamus to have predicted this transparent occurrence.

What does this even mean? Am I the only one struggling with this?

I see after reading it how it can get confusing now. i'm working on rewriting pretty much the whole thing.

Andcas:

Always distrust people who say "It's great review", "never change", because this is the result. I have read some of your reviews, and I can understand why Irving took the time to pinpoint your flaws. You are not a bad writer, and you can definitely get better. The problem is that you honestly believe that writing unusual sentences with unusual words equals being smart, profound AND clear. It is not about "lingo" or "reading too much into it". You always seem to chose the most convoluted ways of expressing things. People think they understood what you wrote, but they are just confused and think it is their fault. Irving himself encouraged this practice in your Trash Talk review, which already suffered, to a lesser extent, of the same faults. It was written almost two months ago, and you are moving backwards.

A good idea is a good idea, and you should not be afraid of putting it plain and simple; I know you can gain extra points if you are obscure and flamboyant, but as of now you are just playing with language, and your reviews are difficult to follow. That is why the review is still not good. It is up to you to take Irving's advice, since he is the only one who genuinely has tried to help you. Simplicity is not a bad thing. Perhaps next time.

Well Zettel, I'm cutting the filler down and extremely simplifying the review as we speak.

This album has helped repair Emmure's image while i know that it is BROcore they have showed that they learned from some of the things that plagued Felony and the Respect Issue. Bohemian Groove, Solar Flare Homicide, 4 Poisons 3 words, Last words to Rose, and A voice from Below in my opinion are pretty good songs and are very catchy. Hopefully they can make more songs like those with the next album

There are a lot of good ideas here, wrapped up in some interesting sentences and paragraphs, but you seem to have trouble connecting them together. As a result a few little bits here just don't make a great deal of sense
