This band reminds me of Steel Train minus some of the greatness.

Ian just gave an interview on BBC Radio 6 Music in which he discussed his approach to the new album, saying he wanted to go in the direction of 'Buy Nothing Day', 'Ready to Go Steady', etc. which is interesting because neither of the two songs we've heard from the new album ('The Scene Between' and 'What D'You Say?', which was played during the aforementioned interview) really are quite as obviously hits as the ones from Rolling Blackouts. Certainly 'The Scene Between' has grown on me; I'm sure 'What D'You Say?' will too but on first listen there are a few too many layers and it sounds too much to me like two songs played simultaneously. Hopefully other tracks on The Scene Between will knock it out of the park, because The Go! Team is my favourite band ever by a mile.

Anyway if you want to listen to the interview and hear the exclusive track it'll be uploaded here soon: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04xwptd

basically i'm super terrified the go team won't put out a good fourth record which is pretty fucking selfish of me considering how much i got out of the first three
