my most anticipated upcoming release, I hope it doesn't let me down

I hope they throw more jazz and swing into the mix without loosing their strong foundation

Also greater dynamic shifts would be desirable too with greater experimentation

Basically I just hope they let loose. My only fear is that their signing may have some strict demands which always pisses me off. I hope they're smarter than to be influenced by stupidity.

i'd like them to experiment more with their ethereal textures, some of the spacey-er moments on this are breathtaking

Are you implying that there is some jazz and swing on here?

The couple of things they have said about the new material sounds promising, because it sounds like they are getting back to the more demanding sound present on EiF. They got more atmospheric on this one, but they lost a lot of melodic/harmonic/rhythmic interest. Yeah it's still great, but I find EiF way more interesting and dynamic in each of those areas. A dynamic approach involving the whole of the musical materials instead of just volume or speed is much more interesting.
