This is awesome. It's nothing groundbreaking but it just kicks too much ass.

Yeah, I mean I don't dig either band enough to really be an authority on them, so I'm sure you are right on. I have to be in the mood to listen to this style of metal, so maybe I'll listen again soon. Could bump it to a 3.

Speaking of 70s/80s style metal, people need to get some goddamn Slough Feg albums reviewed.

Yeah, I wouldn't call it groundbreaking either, but the overall mixture of sounds to me is well done, and I think they combine influences that are great.

Bleekill, vintage 70s doom or anything retro metal is my sweet spot. Witchcraft, the last two electric wizard, the devil's blood, burning saviours, blood ceremony, etc. I just love the sound, but yeah, I get what you mean with the mood.

Good review.

The rumour about this band is this is a side project, and the people involved don't want to be linked to Ghost. If it turns out to be true, does anybody have an idea of who it might be?

I've heard some think that Repugnant's vocalist is in the band but I don't think anyone knows 100%, don't really care tbh

Yeah I've heard that, I've also heard one of The Devil's Blood's guitarists is in it. But don't hold me to that.

Yeah, Repungent vocalist and guitarist maybe.....who knows, I don't care, but it would be interesting to know who. However, I still love this record. It is going down as one of my favorites for sure. I don't know what it is, but I love that dude's voice. And yes, Ritual is quality. I hope they keep releasing albums every now and then. Inveigh, you should check it out.

Really inbox? That is crazy! It should be available somewhere. Also, I just found out that they are playing Maryland Deathfest...and with some of the other bands playing too, I just might have to go.

Ghost is special and hits home in many aspects.

I saw them live at Roskilde. The smiles on people's faces afterwards, I haven't seen that since the eighties. They actually had fun at a metal concert.
