"Jane Doe is not by any means a bad album" - 2.0 poor
This review definitely reads a little unbalanced. In some ways I can see the 2.0, in others I could see a 3.0 in this (such as in statements like the one above). Totally not neg-worthy tho.

Well thanks for that, I'll work on it.

I appreciate the analogy, but I agree with what the others are saying - Jane doe is supposed to be aggressive as hell, that's its charm. The concept itself - as far as lyrical themes go - is based around a dissolving relationship and the emotional turmoil experienced from the fallout. For me, the album's central thesis isn't conveyed through its lyrics, but rather the music itself.
That said, your review was very well written and I have to agree with Irving, you're improving more and more with each subsequent review. However, there are just a couple of errors. Nothing wrong with how the content is presented, just typos such as:
something which he is more succesfully at with his lyrics,
*successful
The overall feel of the album is a very hard and painful,

Definitely a ballsy move, although I think you need to back up some of your points better...for instance, more or less stating that "the anger is like experiencing a beatdown, and nobody likes a beatdown" when clearly plenty of people relate to the anger quite well, which makes the album what it is.
On the other hand, some of your points are showcased quite well, like about how the beautiful lyrics are hidden behind the indecipherable screeams, and how the songs can be too similar and thus hard to distinguish.
Overall, a decent review though...

Well that's only my personal experience with this album, but yes my writing does need a lot of work...
I also fixed that part so that it clearly states that's how I feel about it.

Great review man, fanboy neggers usually like to open-mouth kiss underage boys so its negligable.
Reminded me of that amazing scene in Dumb and Dumber where Jim Carrey goes, "I desperately want to make love to a schoolboy...".

album is utterly amazing imo but so is your review, glad to see someone give this a negative review tbqh, its a real breath of fresh air, pos

This is because the whole album keeps up the same pace and every track progresses at a more or less similar tone, which makes it hard to distinguish most of the tracks from each other.
now, that's true indeed, but up to the point where they form a uniform personality for the band.
Still, it doesn't justify a 2/5 rating imho.
Instead, anything within 3-4/5 would do, depending on someone's taste.

No on the contrary it does, otherwise i wouldn't pos.
However, there is a thin cloud of controversy floating within it.
Some of your justifications make this a 2/5, others make it a 4/5.
That's what I meant by saying that anything within an 3-4/5 (closer to a 3-3.5 though) would suffice as a rating for your review.

I never said they sound the same... And I listened to it 7 times before writing this review.

Never understood this logic. Do people actually start with a 5 for everything and knock off a point for every fault an album has? If this album had satanic, Nazi lyrics about the positive aspects of child abuse would you just give it a 3.5 instead of a 4?

personally i find the rating isn't nearly as important as what the reviewer is saying
i always try to get it closest to the rating that i feel represents what i wrote, but i always write then rate, not the other way around, and sometimes there is like a 0.5 + or - in which my review would still make complete sense
anyway, my point is, ratings are overrated. lol.
