One of my favorite albums. Shame what happened to the band. The sound on here is like.. Idk.. it makes me think I'm in some city in the 1960's or 70's, and there's a blizzard and everything is just a bit weird and it's morning time and not many are around and maybe it's Christmas day so there's this exciting, buzzing energy in the air and you're excited for the days events but also a bit anxious. It isn't doom and gloom but just bleak enough to be aesthetically pleasing.

Settled on a 4.5 for this - i honestly adore it, everything here is so mathematically composed & gorgeous & there's so much going on. I would honestly be surprised if anything manages to beat this for my favourite album that I first heard in 2018.

ps. this is no less tame.. very decent alt. fuzz gaze post-punk mash, that's about it..
