finally listening to this tonight

only ac related release i haven't heard



first listen, cemetaries was stunning

rest didn't do [too] much, liked a lot of melodies though



this is a strange release for avey.. not sure how to take it

what a strong 2nd half on slasher flicks.

dunno how it compares to down there... as usual, you cant compare any of their work.



It baffles me how all the stuff these guys have bought out is so diverse from one another, yet its all quality.

This is an album that's loosely about being sick and getting better, which a lot of people have done. whats different for me is that Avey, because he's a genius, constructed a soundscape completely unique to this particular idea he wanted to express. When I listen to Laughing Heiroglyphic i literally get a little bit queezy, and Heather in the Hospital evokes the feeling of laying in a hospital bed, mildly doped up, recovering from something as you watch the machinations of the hospital around you. It's amazingly specific, and it just works. I know a lot of people don't vibe with this, but Down There is why I love electronic music.
