I haven't listened to this whole album yet but I don't really like We Don't Care Anymore and after seeing the video for Take Me Back I actually like that song. And I've heard Our Time Is Now... I don't think anyone realizes that they took that riff from Pantera. I think they tried to hard to sing like an 80's band. But SOTY is one of my favorite bands... so I still like them no matter what.

Those first two singles were holy awful, I can't see this album getting much higher than a 2, from me at least.
I could dig Page Avenue and their warped sets were pretty incredible, But this album seems like it just combines that worst aspects of emo and hair metal, while managing to stay as far away from those two genres as possible.

if you liked "page ave." im sure that you'll like this one.

An excellent album. I give them respect for being one of the best bands that play this style of music, partly because, like Boysetsfire and Thrice, they very rarely, if ever, just whinge about chicks and all that whiny teenage crap.
Atreyu, I'm looking in your direction.

i know i said i liked page avenue better, but i have listened to this over and over again lately and i have decided that i like this album better. whats not to like? its heavier, the guitarists improved vastly, the lyrics are awesome, and the vocals are better.

this album rules. lots of improvement from page avenue both lyricly and instrumentally. nearly every track on here is great. meathead is kind of a filler and the bonus track which is actually called "Unheard Voice" isnt the best "Pay Your Enemy" and "Is this my fate?" he asked them are probably my favorites. They also took a giant step away from being pop. 4.5/5

One of my favourite albums ive listened to this year, some great songs on it

I def. agree with much of the review. This is an approvement from their earlier release. And I look forward to see what they can pull off next.

The cover art owns.

The cd itself looks really cool, nice to look at spinning in a cd player. But the cd itself is so average, it isnt even funny.
|
| |
"is this my fate" is by far the best track on the album, it owned me a long time.
And their live performances are awesome. I wish i could throw around my guitar like phil...

im surprised the rating for this album is this low. this album kids a**. ^yup definitely one of the best live performances you can get^ i dont care if you like the music, theyre fun to watch live.

Our Time Is Now: Best Ever SOTY song
I NEEEEEEEEEEED to see them live!!!
|

I am so bummed that Taste Of Chaos didn't come near me. I missed seeing these guys, Funeral For A Friend and TREOS, that = lose. This album itself is a huge improvement and is still a nice listen now and than.

is it just me or does this album remind any one of does this look infected? honestly, this album is worth listening to, and nothing above that. its not original, but its decent. page avenue felt like something different, even though its pretty generic as well.

I have an urge to pull this out to hear it. But it's soooo far away...

Ive seen them live and as said earlier, they put a sweet show on, one of the best live bands ive seen! If ur 15 and skateboard all day, buy Page Avenue, if ur a lil over that kinda shit, buy this, its a positive step forward. Having said that, they have a lil bit further to go, cant wait for their next release to see what they can put forward.
ps: Razorblades was an awesome songThis Message Edited On 11.09.06
