The first series of remasters that have been made in the 90s with the rise of the CD format gave some badly restituted albums, but there's been, with the audiophile resurgence, an upsurge in the quality of remasters in general in recent years. Steven Wilson's remasters of Relayer, Close to the Edge, The Yes Album and many other classic prog releases are especially well-made.



@smaugman I'm not sure which one I prefer, bu their debut certainly has a wonderfully charming 60s tint that gives it additional value.

Depends on what you're expecting from this really.



They're backed by an orchestra on this one (the other one like that was 2001's Magnification), and Tony Kaye and Peter Banks are on this instead of Wakeman and Howe, so the keys and guitar are bit more simplistic but more complimentary to the tunes on here instead of being in the forefront.

no of course not but i never rly dug it before



some times albums just hit you hard, i'm still waiting for relayer to do it rly, i actually love a lot about relayer but theres something holding me back hard from putting it up there with the yes album, fragile and close to the edge

delirium has awesome parts but kinda fails to keep my interest all the way through
