I like when people take two different artists and mix their work together like when Danger Mouse did the mash up with Jay Z and the Beatles.
Some one should do a mash up with this album where they keep all the music and production but switch the vocals with early career kanye when his raps were decent.

all of the lights, and the last two tracks are straight trash, and lot of the guest verses aren't that special either, or just haven't aged that well
that said it still has some of his best material, i just don't think it's classic

Man, this has to be one of the most overrated albums ever. The sheer amount of praise that people loft on this like Kanye is a lyrical or artistic mastermind befuddles me.

@HalfMan seriously though even if you don't believe it, he is a musical genius. In his best moments and his worst. I think musical genius is something that goes beyond how you may feel about an artist. I hate cynic with all me soul but will I admit that they must've had some genius to make two albums that people hold very highly amongst any genre and took the genre they are in and put a unique twist to it that no one was doing prior.

To each his own, but the qualities about his music that people praise to the end of the earth I find pretty darn underwhelming. But then again I may be too into jazz/ soul/ R&B tinged hip hop to really appreciate his recent stuff.
