between this album, and all the previous albums.. it's like they're 2 different bands. both of these bands are fucking incredible. screaming or not. i like every cd by these guys, even though they are not the same.

Hours and CDADIC is like two albums made by two different bands. Matt's vocals changed a lot

I actually quite liked what they had done previously to this. Not a real favourite or anything, but I always thought they did what they did, rather solidly.

This however? Well, I didn't really like this at all. I believe I listened to it about 3 or 4 times right through....and that was the end of it.

a friend of mine got me into ffaf be4 'CDADIC' and i loved them then... and still do. i think the effort they've made to create new material is amazing.. still having that ffaf sound (amazing guitar from kris r.) yet having a total different feel about it. i adore both albums and give the band 5 stars..

oh and the part in 'all the rage' that goes 'sitting in the backseat (its all the rage)...' is incredibly catchy n to the dismay of peers, i often hum it in class lol..This Message Edited On 03.16.06

Hours is just not going in the same direction than Casually and 7 ways... for myself: All the rage, roses...,Hoppitality, recovery and the end of nothing are incredibles songs.
Yeah I really like 7 ways, more than casually but everybody here bother about screamo... hey that screamo sounded so poor ... like a 5 years old child seeking for his parents. I would have prefer some scream there and there too but Matts scream sucks in compare of Avenged or BFMV or any other scream bands. Sounds like a drunk piuking!

These guys are really talented if you like it or not and this album shows they can mix hard dirty guitars riffs with soft melodic vocals (witch Matt is really great in that). I give a 4.5 even if they're different and less heavy, doesn't mean they are talentless.

The End Of Nothing is the best song they've ever written, although the intro riff to Recovery is also utterly sweet.
The ballads on here are lame though, plus All The Rage and Roses For The Dead are too similar, and the chorus of Streetcar weakens the entire song.
This is still a decent album, featuring some nice guitar work (not massively techincal, but these guys work well as a duo).
There's precious few bands that can do this style of music without being either terminally whiny and annoying or complete wusses, and FFaF are one of them.
The comparative lack of screaming is a plus too.

For some reason, only the heavier songs on here are the good ones. The guitar work is sometimes very good, one of the band's plus points.

I don't think its a patch on their earlier stuff. It just doesn't have the same intensity and energy that the 1st album and the EP's have, also IMO it lacks the freshness and creativity of those earlier offerings.

Brilliant album but overated, as many people over look that it lacks in comparison to that of Casually dressed.

It's a good album. Although having said that, they could have taken a lot of directions after Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation and IMHO they took the wrong one. Ah well, they still do a good live show and I like most of the songs, but somehow Hours doesn't stand out to me in the same way.
