The first minute of "Seasons III. Return" is so sad.

Just listened and I agree Eko, the divisions for the Seasons suite are kind of arbitrary

Pretty much the greatest thing I've ever listened to. I must say that I even teared up in parts, especially during "Sleep Well". Such an emotional moment. Mae is definitely up in my favorite bands, and I'd have to say that this is one heck of a farewell. Sad to see them go, but I must say they went out with a bang! Such a bittersweet moment in indie-rock.

Hmm.. idk, they're pretty even to me. This is like the grown up version of a child prodigy, with the

prodigy being The Everglow.

"Sleep Well" and "Good (e)vening" go together so well, but the piano suite is where it's at.

Agreed. I was literally just listening to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VMRjWhnz2c&feature=related as you posted your comment. Kinda funny!

And for sure, "Seasons (I,II,and III)" are magnificent. Not sure why it's all broken up though. I thought that was a little off the wall, but still lovely nonetheless.

Ha! I actually just saved that exact link to my favourites a couple of days ago. Also, the first minute of "Seasons III" is my favourite part of the album. Wish I could play piano that well.

Yes! That's a really good part, but my favorite part would have to be about 6 minutes and 20 seconds

into it if you have all 3 in one part like I do. It's probably about halfway through part II right

after the dramatic pause. It makes me happy. "Seasons" is great background music. I usually have it

playing while I'm doing homework

even the "rock" songs on this are their bests and they get shoved under the rug sometimes with Seasons

Oh man. These guys. They were a guilty pleasure in high school, and just last night they popped into
my head for no reason whatsoever. Or I think I was listening to something random on YouTube with a
vocalist who reminded me of the dude from The Format, which made me remember these guys.

And I couldn't remember their name or any of their lyrics. That was frustrating. So I checked
Last.fm's page for bands similar to The Format, and sure enough, I found them again.

Just got all of their music...what have I been missing? I think I just used to loop Embers &
Envelopes on YouTube and listen to a few singles from Destination beautiful on YouTube and call it
day. Reading what you guys say about these EPs - which I never touched - is getting me excited. I
remember seeing reviews for these on Sputnik but disregarding them because I convinced myself that
these guys made painfully inoffensive family-friendly rock. But I just listened to half of The
Everglow and it's fantastic!

I'm getting vibes that remind me of some really great indie/pop rock bands. Like a mix of The Format
and Futures-era Jimmy Eat World and Deathcab for Cutie, minus a lot of 'edge' (which could be a good
thing, because any time JEW attempted anything that wasn't catchy and saccharine, they failed).
Still as harmless as I remember, but undeniably catchy and emotional.
