I actually like Guns and Roses, but hair metal died because of over the top frontmen, sameness, and fake emotion. I'll give you Van Halen and Def Leppard, but other than that, hair metal was all about glamour and was all fake.

Classic album, this album changed my life. It got me into the genre of pop punk which lead me to bands like The Queers, Screeching Weasel, Pinhead Gunpowder, etc. I love the guitar, and I can play the whole album quite easily on guitar, but that's what I love about it. Simple songs, but catchy as anything. Good stuff, and good review.

I think I might actually try and get a hold of this album. The singles (especially Longview and Welcome to Paradise) are really good songs. I don't think i've heard any of the others (except All By Myself, a friends showed it to me a while back) Figure it'll be an awesome summer album.
