They are never going to be as good as they were when J Mann was in the band. XIII and XX are their best records by far.

Haven't listened to it all the way through. But heard the single and it blows.... WHAT HAPPENED?

This band started to suck real fast after Jmann quit.

I really like Mushroomhead's earlier stuff but this is just mediocre all the way through.

This album succeeds when it's being dark & moody. "Holes in the Void", "The Harm You Do", and "Do I Know?" are really
cool songs, even with the terrible production. When the album gets heavy, it falls flat because the guitar tone is so thin,
the riffs are pretty average, the drums are too loud, and both singers sound bored. When the album gets light and poppy,
it sound like they're churning out white trash radio rock ballads. It doesn't help that Waylon sounds like a generic hard
rock vocalist that can bring them from Faith No More to Nickelback in a chorus's notice. With that said, their new album
already sounds like it's shaping up to be a nice return to form.

Not sure what happened to the formatting on my post. Oh well!

Their latest album pretty much trumps this. Beautiful Stories wasn't an entirely horrible record, but these guys had lost their creative spark ever since Waylon got on board. I'd jam Superbuick or XIII over this one.
