Neil Peart on the R40 setlist:

I think we might call it "Jammin' to the Oldies" [laughs]. That would be one approach we could take. But it really was fun discussing different approaches that we might take to it, and how to choose from among all the material. And it was simply "done" once the three of us started sharing email lists of songs and all that. We said, "we played a lot of that last tour, so we can set that album aside, and what about this one we haven't played for a while?" We want to do a complete chronological presentation of all that time too. It was just nice how easily those decisions were arrived at, and any time there was "too much", there was nobody saying, "I won't play that". There were too many songs that we all wanted to play and possibly resurrect as we've done and so we said, "well ok, we can do all those songs, just not all on the same night."

As long as they play _______.

For me it would have to be:

Jacob's Ladder

Freewill

Analog Kid

Camera Eye

Marathon

Prime Mover

Between the Wheels (yeah, right)

The Pass

They've played BTW's in relatively recent times, and damn well too. You never know.

Hoping for Hemispheres, but that's a long shot. Analog Kid, The Pass, Between the Wheels, The Garden, The Wreckers, Afterimage, Natural Science, and Losing It would all make me go crazy.

Hemispheres is a reality dude, I bet they play it. I would be very satisfied with all the songs you and Blade have mentioned.

Afterimage! Can't believe I forget to list that - one of my favs by the band, for sure.

If they play Hemispheres...That would just be so sick!

If they only played Hemispheres at certain shows and not at mine...grrr

I also realize Losing It isn't likely since it needs an electric violin, but it's arguably Peart's best lyrics so hearing it live would be amazing
