Deleted all the comments by that guy, and cleaned up the review a bit. Cool review man. I don't really like Deftones, but very good work.

You've been very accurate in your descriptions of each album, Flabbit.

It's true that Deftones albums are tricky because each is so unique; with Adrenaline being some straight rap rock and metal mixed, Around The Fur being much more moody and containing almost no Adrenaline elements, White Pony being so atmospheric and melodic while still getting heavy at times, and Deftones being deeply dark and mostly on the heavy side. There's more links between the last three, with Adrenaline being the obvious outsider, but it's still a great fucking record. They all have amazing points and almost zero "what the hell?" points, and I can say that with my heart behind it. I love when people love this band like I do, so definitely check them out.

Thanks reneklown. I try my best.

I tend to hate it when they get lumped in with Nu-Metal, though i seriously woudn't consider them Metal at all.

Whats wrong with being Hard Rock?

That WillemDieBoer guy tried to have me banned!

I don't think Deftones are nu-metal either.

He will prolly be back. But with his horrid english he stands out, so no worries.

Any you guys heard of Team Sleep, I think they are called that. It's chinos side project.

No kidding! That guys crazy!

Anyway, I like how Deftones create that almost eerie background noices with the DJ. One of the few DJ's that is still worth his salt. IMO

Yep, that's big Frank Delgado. His job isn't scratching and trying to be the "DJ Han" (Linkin Park) character, he adds all the ambience and atmosphere without being in the forefront. Such a nice guy, too.

Team Sleep is an extraordinary group, and even though it technically IS Chino's side project, they're really in their own category by themselves. I reccomend Team Sleep to anyone who enjoys the Deftone's tracks: "Teenager", "Anniversary of an Uninteresting Event", "Minerva", "Lucky You", "Moana", or "Fist". Great great stuff.

Download "Blvd. Nights", "Your Skull Is Red", and "Live From The Stage" by Team Sleep. Or better yet, buy the CD.

Deftones suck, besides White Pony.

It would be well written if it weren't for the 40 bajillion times you resorted to hackneyed phrases like "flash in the pan" or whatever. It was a very clear and direct review. It was very informative but I just didn't like the phrases you used. You seem like you're better than that.

On a different note, I'm definitely getting this album.

Hehe...I tend to go overboard sometimes with phrases like that.

Thanks though.

And to Eliminator Jr. Elaborate more on why they "suck" and I won't report you.

Neither really. They have a really diverse sound. I agree though, Change is one of their best songs while Minerva is one of their worst. You should defenitly check them out, my recommendation would be either Around The Fur or White Pony

Don't misuse the Bad Users/Reviews Forum. Elim. Jr. didn't say anything bad or worth reporting and nothing would come of it anyway.

Thanks, I might check out White Pony first since most people seem to think that is their best album yet. This Message Edited On 10.15.05

People who only listen to White Pony have no idea what they're missing, and I feel bad for them.

If this was done in Rock&Metal......Just because he has 1042 post count doesn't mean I have to bow down to him. If he can't say anything constructive or at least back up his claim, he can stfu for all I care.

I agree. There is so much more to the band than that cd. It is good though, one of my favourites in their career.

That has nothing to do with it. Eliminator Jr. said his opinion about the Deftones and he didn't insult you or your review and it would be stupid of you to report him for doing nothing. This Message Edited On 10.15.05

No, don't worry. I won't report him. But I want to leave you with this thought.

If I made his post in the case of the official Tool or Opeth threads, how badly would I get flammed?

Anyway, I understand your comment.
