The whole idea that pop writers use biological tricks to make songs popular is bullshit. I have to research for an essay why we like certain patterns in music (made a list about it earlier today) and it's all just culture based.

If it were true, then virtually everyone would love her stuff

Did you even read the article, green? There are also several youtube videos on analysis about a handful of incredibly successful songwriters keep writing hits and frankly, it's all crap

No Green, it's just sonic and structural patterns that you familiarise because of cultural upbringing, which is why people go "WTF" when they hear a piece of music which is completely new. It's also why it's difficult to like that stuff immediately and takes more listens
