well usually, drummers DO suck at solo albums

I think being a classical percussionist kinda sets him apart from the run-of-the-mill "I'm a drummer trying to make a solo album that's only so-so" category. As pretentious as it sounds, going through all that work usually just makes you more into melodies and taking care to song structure more than just showing off your chops.
