I'll definitely get to it. I haven't even heard the 'greats' of post-rock like GYBE!, ( ) or Talk Talk yet :

() and Skinny fists by GY!BE are incredible records. Skinny fists is definitely not for the faint of heart though. It's quite disturbing and ominous at many parts.

Yeah, this oscillates between about a 4.7 and 4.8 for me so I might as well 5 it. I feel this album is the first time this band has a proper hold on a style that's really their's, and they dominate it.

I see what you mean, but I would say the style on Little Man is pretty unique. That album is absolutely solidly 5/5, pretty much perfect

Apart from Preparation for Meltdown, which is perfect (Idioteque anyone?), this album didn't hit me in the same way as Little Man. I'm sure Mad will argue against it but Little Man just hit all the right places and has for me feels for me at least. Not to say it wasn't an enjoyable listen, but it's probably going to be a grower....

I'll argue against this not hitting you, it's close to Little Man for me, and I found it was a lot more immediate actually. Definitely give it a few more listens though.

What about So We Row? It's incredible
