first track is sick.

second is too except for that ridiculously cheesy chorus.

i hate power metal ballads, should be illegal

I'm gonna look through my itunes...

Dragonforce - Starfire (i'm being serious here...one of their best songs easily)
Sonata Arctica - Replica (if it's considered a ballad)
Sonata Arctica - Letter to Dana (again if it's considered a ballad)
Symphony X - The Accolade
Symphony X - Paradise Lost

Yeah that's all I got. Except most to all of Symphony X's "ballad's" I think are really good, they're probably the only power metal band that writes consistently good ballads. But they're not purely power metal either.

Starfire is pretty awesome. I'd add Tallulah for Sonata Arctica. Also, Nightwish have the back to back awesome ballads on Wishmaster in Deep Silent Complete and Dead Boy's Poem.

The acoustic version of Mordred's Song by BG is pretty awesome too.

Well I just listened to BG for the first time, the first song I listened to was At the Edge of Time and I pretty much slapped myself for not listening to them earlier, this is a 4 for sure

Pos'd, prolly going to be picking both this and Nightfall in Middle Earth up sometime soon.

Edit: After my first listen I found myself humming "Tanelorn," I knew I was going to like this album.

Digging: Falls of Rauros - The Light That Dwells in Rotten Wood
