There's not even a little bit of death metal influence within Wormwood or anything The Acacia Strain actually writes. Where are the blast beats, the faster tempos or more complex song writing??? I hate to say this, but Vincent is right with his quote.

I'm fairly certain they don't think they're revolutionizing metal. In fact, according to some
people, the very notion that you'd even call this anything other than deathcore warrants a large
amount of poo going in and around your mouth.

They're not making crap music. They're just not making music with the same goals in mind as many of
the other bands you like a lot.
-If it's about the lyrics, do you shun instrumental music altogether because of a lack of lyrics?
-If it's about the breakdowns, are they static, boring, and literally the only thing the songs
incorporate, or is it rather that they've managed to insert breakdowns where none existed
before(which you WILL admit is different, regardless of your stance on breakdowns themselves).

Look, I could have very easily fanboy rated this album a 4. However, that's just not reasonable. The
reverse is true for automatically considering the album shit because it contains elements you don't
like. I can't believe I actually have to write this much to prove a pretty fucking obvious point.

it sucks you have to get into these arguments with these eliteists who feel the need to review cd's in genres they dont even like. and they'll trash the acacia strain, and bands like them, even though TAS has been playing this style way before anyone had heard the term "deathcore" and they'll trash bands for having too many breakdowns, and champion bands that have just as many useless blast beats, or whatever you call the techie Dillinger Escape Plan chaos riffs that BTBAM and Converge are littered with. with that said, the review was well written and entertaining to read,
