I really think this band could write a modern rock masterpiece. If they combined the more classic-sounding elements of this album (especially on Lady So Divine, Shed Some Light, and Atmosphere) with the catchiness of Sounds of Madness, I think they'd have a winner.

If they got rid of the three-chorus structure every so often, roughed up the production and settled on a consistent tone, it would make for one of the best hard rock albums of the new millennium.

Ah, I forgot about tone. This album is pretty laid back, it seems, while Sound of Madness kicks off with some of their most intense stuff before starting into their catchy (occasionally vapid) ballads. A bit inconsistent, you're right.

The more I think about it, the more I realise this album has more than a few stoner rock qualities to it. Lady So Divine, Atmosphere and Heroes in particular.

Hope the new album comes out sounding more like this than what came after. I loved the southern rock groove off this album. They kind of watered down their sound with Sound of Madness and especially Amaryllis, in my opinion.

Leave a Whisper: Best album
Us & Them: Creative peak
Sound of Madness: Mainstream peak
Amaryllis: First major regression

Either Leave A Whisper or Sound of Madness. Been a while since I jammed a full album from these guys.

Too close with Sound of Madness imo, those two are pretty much equal. SOM certainly has higher highs.

Nostalgia tripping hard right now... ahh, the days when I used to jam this band on a daily basis :')

First three albums from these guys rule hard. It's a shame they seem to be declining.

I've been pretty hesitant to check Amaryllis and Threat to Survival, not gonna lie

They both still have their moments imo. Unfortunately they've adopted a much poppier sound. Wish they'd go back to their roots.
