Kept meaning to get into I Am Undone. Guess I'll have to check this out too. What I've heard from these guys sounds really good.

A few songs are pretty good, or have really good parts, but I wish it was a little more energetic and maybe not every song about God, gets kinda annoying after awhile.

Nearly every song on this album is a 5/5. So so good. My favorites though are Lower Still, Rich, and Perfector.

yeah they're pretty much the nicest people in the world. the only band that had a roadie that was a homeless man they picked up and a tour dog that was a stray they picked up while on tour.

so awesome... their merch girls were informative about their music and religious symbols as well. This is Circa Survive done proper

not seeing that comparison. I'd say more a spaced-out Vheissu mixed with some TDAGARIM

oh I stopped listening to them after Deja...
but My Epic, IMO, stands out because of the spiritual light and emotions that
shine through their music and lives

Brute, is that a The Number Twelve Looks Just Like You avatar I see there? Ugh I haven't watched Twilight Zone in such a long time, so it might just be me. If it is a tntljly avatar, that's awesome.

I don't think it is... I got it from Salvador Dali's weird art and crafts photos

I agree their singer sometimes sounds a lot like Circa Survive's. Their guitars are strikingly similar to As Cities Burn. Idk, the devotional lyrics really wear on me, even though they have a really great sound.

Haha sorry, I abbreviated because I was taking for granted this site's borderline obsession with that CD.
Yea, it is a lot more straightforward on the Christian themes (although they're just as prevalent in the two albums I mentioned, which was actually one of the biggest reasons I mentioned them, besides the blatantly obvious musical similarities) and a lot less questioning/exploratory than either of them. It's more or less the antithesis of the lyrical approach taken on ACB's "Come Now Sleep" in a lot of ways, although it does question a touch more than I Am Undone did.
Honestly, the more I listen to this, the more it's wearing off of me. It's almost down to a 4...

Also, Circa comparison is ironic because most of Anthony's lyrics are basically about losing faith in God, becoming an atheist, becoming frustrated with Christians, and having to deal with being ostracized for not being Christian (i.e. almost all of "On Letting Go"). Also, I'm not hearing the vocal comparison. At all.

^ I agree with the wearing-off effect. Maybe their previous release is more durable
But.. the irony lies here my friend- when seeing them live, the singer gave his expected in-between-songs-speech, but it was the most reasonable, loving, inviting, accepting speech that could be given. He didn't force anything down throats but at the same time he stood his ground in confident faith and knowledge of truth. He invited everyone to simply "taste and see that the Lord is good" The Bible does not lie. Honestly and whole-heartedly try it.

For me, this is only getting better. Almost at a 5. I've also been listening to I Am Undone for a year and a half now and it still hasn't wore off.
