I was gonna do this one, but you pretty much said it all for me. Good review.

Thanks for the feedback guys, always appreciated.

still a bit hesitant to try this. I can't stand soilwork's vocals most of the time

I'd still give this a shot, Jared. I'm not a fan of Speed's vocals either but they're a hell of a lot more bearable here because the rest of the band is playing really well.

Don't know why Crysis isn't a contributor at the very least.

This is a really good album. I think a lot of the backlash comes from the stigma that the band have created for themselves with the last few albums. This might not be Predator's Portrait Pt.2 but it's also not Sworn to a Great Divide Pt.2 either. Probably a 3.5.

Oh yeah, "Night Comes Clean" is a pretty lame song, but "Let This River Flow" is one of their better songs.

The hahaha was to inappropriate spam which has since been deleted.

Mediocre album is mediocre though, Soilwork keeps digressing in quality.

This is definitely true, especially considering how bad their last album was.

Let This River Flow is now one of my favorite Soilwork songs.

Few good songs on it. Drumming and guitars are great, but vocals are meh, I don't think they ruin the album though. Could be catchier as well. Although I love that huge yell in Late for the Kill.

Curse.

Great review as always, well done. Question though: Is the reason you aren't a contributor because of your hatred towards the summary box?

I'm really enjoying this and I haven't liked anything post-A Predator's Portrait from them. Shockingly good.

Great review bro, and as most here I'm also on the fence as I generally don't like Soilwork at all, but on the other hand, your descriptions make it seem like this could sound something like Shadows Fall and newer In Flames, both of which I really like. So I guess I'll try and check this stuff out.
