You have honestly no idea how hard i laughed at the comment that other dude made and Dryden's response after it LOL. Good review.

fantastic review of my favorite artist of all time. I originally had every Miles Davis album (almost) rated, but cleared my ratings and am taking the time to go through every CD (almost) again. This CD is a 4.5 for me, Bitches Brew is a 4.

oh and yes, "A Tribute to Jack Johnson" is the best Miles CD for me, followed by Sketches of Spain and Miles Smiles.

jack johnson totally kicks. great stuff--brings the funk.

i've never really found 'kind of blue' to be over- or under-rated or anything. it has a legacy in jazz that's quite deserved, but whether i enjoy it as much as i "should"--totally don't know. i just know it's a classic. i know it has a great mood. i know it's one of the few albums that can light up a room with its sounds. and 'flamenco sketches' is like the greatest thing ever no lie.

get it brah

sketches of spain is fantastic--atmosphere not really like anything else. by chance, i'm listening to
"concierto de aranjuez" right now.

edit: i say this with caution because i'm not too good at this kind of stuff, but i also see you as a
bitches brew type of man. who knows. get this too though.

This album couldn't have a more accurate/fitting album name and cover.

Bitches Brew is crazy over-rated, and so is Kind of Blue. This and A Tribute to Jack Johnson are def where it's at.

basically Miles + John Mclaughlin is where it's at
