The few tracks they leaked were decent, so it kind of got my hopes up for the rest of the album.

Just fully realized that you attempted to assert that this is better than Sleeping With Sirens. You got yourself a neg, friend.

this album is WAY more solid than their previous.

I really do enjoy the clean vocals—they show a MUCH better side of this band, and the fact that Johnny can sing is just astounding, haha. You nailed that one.

Anyways, this band is definitely making progress, and I just speculate that their next album will show a much more refined sound than this. It seems like they are still experimenting with their sound, but they hit closer to what they were aiming for in their first album—which more or less failed epically.

Attack! Attack! seems to have grown in confidence with their music, and they have a much more solid foundation and fan base because of their change(s) to their tonality.

Just an FYI you're talking about the British Attack! Attack! there. Big difference with the American Attack Attack!

dunno about this album but Someday Came Suddenly is easily the worst 'metalcore' (if it even counts) album ever. Like barely a 1.5

This seriously could have been a 3 or hell a 3.5 if they got rid of all the stupid electro-crunk tad bits.

the riff in renob nevada is total guilty pleasure

This is truly the epitome of why this genre of "metalcore" is just terrible, and needs to end. The keyboard gimmick is no longer original. The singing is just bad. The growls and scream vocals are extremely generic and clearly plain awful. I saw these guys on a tour with Maylene before their first LP was released, and it was fun, but ever since Austin left, the band has gone downhill. I will say that the production is pretty good. This band could do a lot more with what they have, but decide to go this route unfortunately.

this band doesn't represent metalcore. there's plenty of talented metalcore bands. and this band is a lot better without that austin guy, but that's not saying much.

I believe they do. This band, like almost every metalcore band, relies heavily on breakdowns, which are just rhythms with power chords, I would know I am in a band that does this and it is awful. Austin's scream is vibrant and intense, now that Caleb does the vocals it just sounds very forced. There is not much wiggle room in this genre, and even the most "technical" or talented bands within this genre are decent at best.
