ditch all enjoyment due to catchiness or thinking, then u get aesthetic shit. now, "artistic" enjoyment is only part of enjoyment overall, beside "intellectual" enjoyment and just "i like catchy stuff".
it just takes some exploring art overall (paintings, poetry, weird ass books and experimental music and movies are good for this), but it don't mean ur enjoyment ain't valid. one can enjoy art purely based on any of those criteria, i do that on the regular (most, if not all people do, i think?)
