Does anyone else think that the fact that the first line of vocals in the first two tracks of their debut album sound almost identical speaks volumes with respect to their overall talent and staying power?

Great album!! Since the beginning, with the single Bury Me Alive, it recalls to the best album in the world called Fallen, but much more hardcore-ish and less pop.

St. John is the one I liked most, especially in the beginning with the heavy guitars. The balance between heaviness and delicacy is given with the blend of the beautiful piano ballads. Perfect!

In Through Hell I can find great effects used in The Open Door as well.. I don't comdemn the album to be so Evanescence related... we've got this three awesome guys who were part of that band and will always have a part of it in themselves.

I agree that they still have to grow and change a little bit to not stay Fallen-like forever... equally important is the fans to DO NOT COMPARE Carly Smithson with Amy Lee... I've got to say Amy is a thousand times better.. XD..haha but Carly is very good.

I noticed as the album progressed Carly sounds more like herself. Terrible choice for a single.

I like Carly's vocals. I don't like the band's music (and the drummer is particularly boring).
