Ur cool chamberdryden. Srsly though this album is so good, the first half is super fun and starting with the Thom Yorke it just goes crazy. This might end up being in my top of 2010 at the end of the year. Seriously never had a connection like this with an electronic album, usually I feel like it's just background music but this plays like a jazz record tbh. It doesn't really sound like jazz apart from the really awesome bass lines and the sax solos, but it feels like I'm listening to late 60's modal jazz but at the same times it feels so fresh and modern.

Album is amazing.

I wasn't noting any specific comparison, I was just noting in the "grand scheme" of electronic music.

Though I suppose if anything this is illbient, due to the crossing of traditional beatmaking and ambient music. The point is that this album is pretty much really epic.

please never use the term 'illbient'

That's not a term, that's an actual genre.

edit: Or for example, saying that Document 8 is your favorite "screamo" record sounds really lame, but it's a generally accepted genre name.

Isn't it though? Where's your rating at bro?

Btw, I have had this for three nights, and have listened to it all the way through 13 times already and some of the tracks have around 30 plays, so yeah. It's safe to say I am addicted to this.
