if I found those other bands like circle of contempt and afterthe
burial to be meh to bad do you I would like this?

Thanks you guys, I expected a lot of people to be angry with me and this review and so far it seems okay. I expect a lot of angry fans to come soon though.
Haha, sorry deviant. Whatever I check out that you like, I tend to like as well, but not so much here. It's still a good album though.

i think the angry fans will come around soon ;)
i disagree with what u say but you formatted and wrote it out well

Oh I'm an angry fan, but review is perty swell. Seriously reads like a 3.5 so you should bump your rating up Observer.

Haha, I dont know lisbon. Tbh, I thought I focused on the negatives just as much or a little more than the positives. Three seems and feels fair for me.
Glad you were still kind while angry though and thanks alex

it depends, I guess. Those bands I mentioned sound similar to these guys in some ways, but Periphery have a fairly original touch to them. It's worth a shot, especially since other users really love it.

Awesome review. I haven't even heard of this band before a few weeks ago when all the hype for this album started. I probably won't check it out.

I appreciate it, spirit. I had read about them and kept watch from afar for a while. Yeah, I don't think this would be your thing.

its nothing truly special

I'm just giving you some grief man, each to their own and all. Review more than makes up for the rating anyway!

I really appreciate it. I had another draft for this, but this seems to have gotten my points across okay.
just waiting for the worst to come now

I feel like this is a meshuggah clone during the destroy erase improve era. That said, I like the way After The Burial tried to replicate the meshuggah sound better than this band did.

album is pretty much a 4.5 but then when Racecar comes on i basically lose my mind with its epicness
this for me too
|
| |
Yeah, I agree. Race car is definitely the best thing on here.

Kudos for putting out a review that many would deem is negative, considering all the hype that surrounded this release. And it's well written to boot! I find myself agreeing in most parts, but that may be because the review reads like a 3.5 and not a 3, which is a little closer to my own value-judge to start with. Well done Observer.
FenixZero, give yourself a pat on the back for making an ultimate fail remark. Meshuggah's rhythms are far more mechanical and theoretically structured than the ones employed by Bulb and co. So tired of all these buffoons crying "Mesjugger clawn" at everything that employs polyrhythms, syncopation and stop-start riffing. Get yourself educated with music or stop echoing popular phrases that make you seem like the one sheep in the pack that always runs straight into the fence.

i am however appalled that you rated such an unoriginal, horrid band as woe of tyrants's new release and this the same.
