@KTLL You said in the response to @andcas that you love metaphors and profoundness, yet you have a problem with the line "One’ll love you so much, but do me a favor, baby, don’t reply…cause I can dish it out, but I can’t take it." which is metaphorical in so many ways.

"In court there are 12 jurors, so that's why he repeats it 12 times. (4 repeats of seven i love you..+ 1 well i love you..+ the seven being counted to.) You need a majority vote to convict him of murder or a unanimous vote. Either way both numbers are there(12 and 7). Seven was the girl's age, and of course seven deadly sins, 777 ... and so on.

I love you so much - is to the daughter spoken by mother, but do me a favor baby don't reply (cause she's dead).

Cause i can dish it out - she (mother) can send someone else (the driver) away (to jail).

But I can't take it - but she can't live with her own daughter being gone. " (found this ages ago on a lyrics site)

------------------------------ I just can't buy the vagueness part you say you find in this song, the album definitely has it's flaws which you point out, but I think the lyrics are pretty great in this song.

It's not simple instrumentation that brings the CD down.. its just the repetition of the same formula from song to song. It's a really good album but it could've been a lot better if they hadn't made each song progress nearly the same way. Just a little more variation could've really gone a long way,

@BTB: Thank you for your vague criticism. Somehow, I think you equate my "good" rating with "poorly written". If you read some of the 5/5 reviews, you'll find poorly written. Did I not convey my ideas well? In my opinion, the ultra-simplicity and repetition DOESN'T work because the MUSIC lacks emotion most of the time, and when it has emotion, it NEVER changes. We can flame over this forever, but its a difference of opinion. It doesn't give you the right to claim the review is poorly written.

@Glory: This line IS the climax of the song. This is where they can develop an emotional outburst that is a kick to the stomach of anyone who can feel. Instead, they write a line that requires REACHING (while the strongest segment "I'll never know..." goes on nearly silent in the background). In your above segment, you reach. The mom doesn't want her daughter to reply to her loving her, because she's dead? She doesn't want her daughter to be zombie? Okayyy.... And while the second part can be attributed to dishing out guilt, what the hell does that have to do with her daughter not replying?

I could suppose that they said it twelve times because that's the number of letters in "manslaughter". Maybe they count to the number seven because that's the amount of letters in "alcohol". Basically, I could make Lady Gaga's "Pokerface" deep if I analyzed it to a ridiculous point and used numerology. The lyric plays out like a cheap "love is woe" line, and then has to be explained by fans of the band. I'm not illiterate and I'm not missing the point. They could have capitalized, and they didn't.

Dude your responses to Brand New fanboys are better written/clearer/we--structured/better arguments than your review.

@Sea: Lol, well my review has been restructured since your first comments. But yeah, I just don't know how to compact these comments into a article that's not stupidly long.

Poor writing means that you don't support your viewpoints effectively. My reason for saying it was poorly written was that I felt the writing wasn't structured well, not that I disagree with you. And it's not terrible writing. Really, it isn't (hence there's no neg). You blow quite a few reviews on this site out of the water, it's just that I thought it could have been executed better.
