Nice review, but I'm not sure I agree that the album is as toothless and inoffensive as you make it sound here, especially lyrically. Heaven's on Fire's lyrics are pretty vicious (by Radio Dept. standards, anyway)......"I'm a lot like you, ugly on the inside....but while you dive into the gritty, you just stand there".....that's practically bedroom pop Bukowski right there.



Throws in some criticism of the music industry too....charlatans just out of reach and out of touch. You Stopped Making Sense is putting an old friend on blast for abandoning his or her old friends in favor of religion. Domestic Scene's lyrics are pretty gut-wrenching as well.
