"It's gettin' hot in here / So take off all your clothes"

this album is pretty boring

Great review! I do like "Hey Daddy" and "Little Freak", so I will probably be buying this album. I was very disappointed in his last album, as "Moving Mountains" was the only decent song on there.

Usher has always had a few really good singles ("Yeah" probably the best) but otherwise I find him forgetable.

Contemporary R&B sucks, most of the "Traditional" R&B singers are dying or entering retirement.

not to mention that most r & b these days is just so obvious and cliche. there's nothing really new or interesting about the genre any more. the only singer who i think is even original and stands out from the crowd is The-Dream. that dude can write some catchy stuff and while some of it of course being about love and sex, at least he puts enough of his style and humor in it that it doesn't sound processed and stale.

Raheem Davaughn and Maxwell are awesome. Check those guys out if you think R&B today sucks.

I've known Maxwell since forever ago, but never heard of Raheem. I'll check him out.

summary rules enough for me to post this and be bothered with the fact that any time this gets bumped on my user posts section.

Saw Usher performing on Idol last night with Will.i.am. Not great.

They've had two mentors, Miley Cyrus and Usher, give advice that have absolutely no talent at all.

Both have talent, especially in a pop context. I don't think they helped the contestants as much as they could have, though.

Their producers may have talent, but I don't believe they do. They couldn't make it on their own.

Miley perhaps not, but Usher's been in the game for quite some time. He's got a great voice and is responsible for some phenomenal pop songs - Yeah! and U Got It Bad come to mind.
