Yeah Lewis, you can definitely take this for "just another indie pop" record at face value based on the single. But even then, when you listen to it in full you earn a bit more respect even for that single. The production really is intricate, and it brings out the best in Mercer I think.



It's fun and focused -- even the handclaps make you clap... when driving (probably not that enjoyable for all drivers around me in the morning).

This is really, really good. I don't know how it ranks with the rest of DM's disco, but it's definitely up there with St. Elsewhere, Demon Days and The Mouse and the Mask. And I like this better than any Shins album I've heard as well.
