I am sorry Wizard but Destroy Erase Improve and Nothing are, in my opinion, better than I.

SERIOUSLY, they've never come close to writing that great ever before or after.

i agree about "I" with Wizard. "I" IS DEMENTED.-
Haake has stated that no-one in the band knows how to play "I" and "Catch 33" live.

I am another who never really got the appeal of this band. They seem like a downtuned version of Soulfly; guitars and drums on a steady, redundant repeat.
I saw these guys live as well and they didn't sway my opinion much. Sure they have a few good songs, but I don't see how anyone could sit through a whole album. Catch 33 is the worst piece of shit.

I can't believe you just compared Meshuggah to Soulfly
|
| |
Duh man, they're a perfect match.

haha obviously, if only for Soulfly's crazy time-signatures
|
| |
Well ACTUALLY, most Meshuggah songs take the key of 4/4 but they use a lot of polyrhythms.
|
| |
Both suck. You don't need to read into it that much.

Spot on about the vocal work!

The absolute number one upgrade about Meshuggah live is Jens Kidman. Here is a vocalist who on record sounds like a pissed off robot, yet in a live setting his throaty growl shines.
word
but it doesnt matter, they are plain awesome
