I never said that they became famous because Dimebag was killed. I said that they had a large influx in popularity when he died.

I don't think that's true either. They were actually more popular when they were together. Just sayin'.

Yes, but they never reached the "metal gods" status until word of Dime's demise got out. Before then, they were just a very successful metal band.

I don't think that's correct either. Where do you get your facts from?

Just going by personal experience. Most of the people I know never heard of Pantera until after Dime's death.

That doesn't mean they weren't popular. It just implies that Dime's death gave their sales a huge boost.

lol, i never said pantera was my favorite band at all. you see, you make these things up in your head to be true(your review) and ignore what everyone else says. in fact, i'm really not that big of a pantera fan, but i dont deny their talent nor their influence on metal. and actually, if you wanna assume peoples ages, let's assume yours. you are a 15 year old who wasn't old enough back then to truly realize the impact of pantera. you also listen to maiden, which i see has given you a sense of entitlement you do not deserve. so please, go back to myspace and stay there, and leave the good music to the big boys.

You're the one who's been feeding the argument with juvenile attacks. All I've been doing is defending myself.

this

If the people you know hadn't heard of Pantera until Dime's death you're too young to know how important and big they were.

"If the people you know hadn't heard of Pantera until Dime's death you're too young to know how important and big they were." I was a sophomore in high school when it happened, so that may be true, but what does influence matter if everything you influence sucks?
