i love how "paris nights/new york mornings" seems like such a happy tune - as though when things can't get worse, we can all articulate a glimmer of hope, even if it's just a glint.

a lot of reviewers sort of projected their own ideal/generic version of a "post-tragedy" album onto
this album and were like "THIS SONG DOESNT FIT" but i mean yessss so does. she can move on and grow
and all that! it's even as touching as something like "i'd do it all again". every song slowly grew
on me. "feels like the first time" took the longest. one of my highest 4.5s tbh

they play this album constantly at lord and taylor's. i mean there's a line, and they cross it. they molest it and kill it and bury the cadaver.

Super good so I'll check out her self titled this week.
