how is this album not praised even close to the level that aeroplane is

like this album could've cemented mason as an indie legend I have no idea why this didn't catch on with the mass indie audience like wildfire

I'm actually so disappointed in myself for not listening to this earlier. Truly spectacular.

It's like if Neutral Milk Hotel got sad and listened to some Elliott Smith, Crywank, and Songs: Ohia.

So many Jordaan Mason related bands/albums, so little time

I need to check the solo stuff, I'm in a folk mood today

I was reading Angels in America for a class I was taking when I first started listening to this and it made for a really unique experience for each.

Not sure, it's kind of hit or miss. The lyrics can be a bit uncomfortable, especially when paired with Jordaan's delivery, but it's a really hard hitting album if you give it some time to settle in. The instrumentals are pretty chill lo-fi indie folk and work well aesthetically with the rest of what the album is bringing. It's unique for sure. I'd give it a couple listens cause why not. Worse case scenario, you lose a couple hours of your life. Best case, you find an album you really like. I like those odds as far as risk reward goes.
