Yeaaaaaah, not my favorite band. I've got this and Selfless, and I feel like this album is more "alive", I guess. Great stuff though.

I dont like this as much as their other 90's early 2000's albums tbh (aside from songs of love and hate which is my least fav). idk maybe because it kinda feels like its got all their styles in one and i hate when artists make those "greatest hits of our phases" albums

This one comes off as more "post metal" than industrial. But I'm guessing that channeled into Jesu later on.

This is basically the album that proved Godflesh were still musically relevant and slightly ahead of others in the 21st Century, though still a relatively underground group as well. Essentially, I find this is on par with previous release, Us and Them-no better or worse. There's a distinctive heaviness in some songs-The first half, essentially-which seems to eclipse the rest of the album in terms of quality, but it's more or less consistent enough to please anyone who has liked Godflesh's earlier material. You can sort of link the musical direction of Jesu to this as well, as some songs on here do sound similar (generally the latter half of the album).
